Over the past 80 years, Nearly 2000 young men have graduated from Michigan State as lifelong brothers of Sigma Nu. In that time, these alumni have seen dozens of MSU's fraternities come and go, So what sets Sigma Nu Apart?
Consistently ranked in the top ten in the National Fraternity Rankings, Sigma Nu's tradition of excellence and supportive alumni base shows that you will always have a place to come back to after graduation. The Sigma Nu House is one of the most affordable housing options on or off campus and is located just two blocks from MSU's Campus/Grand River Ave., and is closer to most of your classes than the dorms. Any alumni will tell you that the life-long friends, memories, and experiences during their time here were life changing, and could not be traded for the world.

Academic
Sigma Nu boasts one of the highest average GPA's of any organization on campus. Academics come first to us, so maintaining your grades and mandatory library/tutorial hours are an important aspect of our new membership program. Our members come from a diverse list of academic majors, so there are plenty of opportunities for tutoring. Additionally, there are several MSU Sigma Nu Alumni Scholarship opportunities available for brothers who hold a house position and challenge themselves to set a "Target" GPA at the beginning of the semester and successfully reach their goal.
LEAD Program
Sigma Nu was founded on a belief of no-hazing. Rather, Sigma Nu’s acclaimed LEAD Program (an acronym for Leadership, Ethics, Achievement, and Development) helps our members discover a new level of achievement and grow socially, intellectually and morally. Social
Sigma Nu is regarded as one of the most highly respected Fraternities on MSU's campus. Some of the benefits of joining Sigma Nu include some of the most memorable events of college, including:
- Frequent mixers (1on1's) with MSU's Sororities
- Ski Weekend each February
- Tailgates on our basketball court for MSU home football game days
- Formal each spring at a local Country Club
- Haunted Hayride in the Fall
- Closed Rush Events with Sororities
- Brotherhood events, such as professional Basketball, Hockey, and Baseball games
- Alumni Golf Outings
Alumni
Active members enjoy access to the Sigma Nu Alumni Connection, which is a nation-wide career site with job openings just for members and alumni of Sigma Nu. With a national Alumni Base of more than 200,000, and almost 2,000 at MSU, members are frequently offered opportunities by Alumni.
Athletics
Sigma Nu Participates in the Fraternity Intramural Sports League for the following sports, and all brothers are encouraged to participate.
